I was unable to get to Clumber today as busy wrking on my 1:1 car - decided in between repairing me car i'd give the ol' Brat a run. All was going well until i misjudged a step and it slammed into the wall totally smashing the bumper, bumper mount and both uprights.
This is the third time i have smashed em up this way - these plastics are so brittle with age, I am beginining to wonder if it's worth running em at all. I have managed to repair most of the damage, it even snapped off the rear body mount !!!! and i think about the time i sent my original brat down an embankment as a child and it still kept running, never broke one part on that car only wore it out.
UPDATE MAR 2005
managed to find a bumper and 'h' parts very cheap off the bay £15 for both posted, anyways it's now back and running again - yipeee see how long it lasts now !!

Brat Attacks

You made a right mess of that. You are right though, my old Brat went through hell and back and the only body damage was a chip missing from the front wing. If you run out of rear body mounts, use acoms servo arms. Just simply screw them in to the screw holes but don't cut them down or (if they are new) the other arms off as you get 4 mounts in one. l will send you a picture of what l mean. P.S, what are you running in it to do that much damage?

That almost looks like a real 1:1 wreck! As a Subaru Brat fan, I offer you my hopes of a speedy recovery and rebuild!

you should really try the crp bumper/bumper holder hop up, it's made out of nylon and is super strong. you can find them on ebay for about $5 (apparently crp made about a million of those..)

Doh!! The plastics must have gone brittle because i've never seen one of those front bumpers shatter like that. Of course the very low temperatures don't help either. It's much easier to break stuff when it's cold. Good luck with repairs!

You so made a good but VERY BAD job of that one. Looks like my escort a few years ago after it met a kerb at 80 mph.
