Took a few stills from the DVD of the original Thomas Crown Affair. Thought they might be of interest to any VW/Dune buggy fans. Car is an original Manx with a Corvair Flat 6 engine. Steve McQueen helped design the extras, such as the speed-boat style screen and deeper body sides etc. Beautiful car.

Nice one mate. Great buggy, Great film! Old Steve is one of my hero's as ya know. 4th pic down is funny, Faye Dunaway looks really scared! Mind you, McQueen was a nutter behind a wheel & on a bike, But he had lots of skill, as well as acting.

I heard that originally they had planned to use a Jeep but Steve McQueen requested that a Buggy would be better. It just wouldn't have been the same with a Jeep.
