The Ace up my sleeve ;)
**PLEASE READ THIS** for anyone looking at this model displayed in my showroom and wondering if I will sell it? PLEASE DON’T ASK!!! I get numerous requests from TC members wanting to buy cars displayed in my Tamiyaclub showroom, and to be honest I get very annoyed when people ask to buy something that is clearly NOT FOR SALE!! This car is part of MY COLLECTION and as such I want to KEEP IT!! So please don’t Email on the off chance that I might sell it to you, if I want to sell any of my cars I will put them up for sale in my TRADE ROOM, so look there to see what cars I am prepared to sell otherwise don’t bother asking cos the only answer you will get is NO!!! thanks for reading this disclaimer. Regards wldnas.

I’ve finally done it ;) I’ve completed the PB Electric Buggy Trio and the car that I’ve been searching for all this time is the PB ACE… and its MINE!!! :D
I’m not doing a full on write up on this car just yet ;) mainly cos I want to show it off first and turn a few selected TC members a bright shade of green ;) I’ve been keeping the deal I did for this cars a secret for quite some time now, It came from a well known Far eastern collector ;) it has taken a couple of months and wasn’t exactly cheap but the end result was well worth the effort, personally I still can’t believe that I’ve actually got a ACE in my possession now :o this car was assembled from a selection of new and used parts, there are a few bits missing (but nothing vital) also there has been a few of the more unique parts substituted with more common spares from the other PB buggies (Mini-Mustang and Maxima) but fortunately I have managed to built something that is about 95% complete but as it was made with some used parts? I think that calling it new built would be taking the micky a bit :S so I’ve put it down as a “Restored” instead ;)
I will do a proper full on write-up on this model at a later date (perhaps after I’ve painted the body) but for now just enjoy the pictures :)

Well I would like to attempt to paint the body up to try and match the look of the car used in the official PB promotional pictures its a faily simple paint scheme that should be quite easy to duplicate however I'm a bit short of the right decals? and that is one of the reasons why I've held off from painting it? :S

At first I was SHOCKED by the short description, but now I'm relieved to hear that a longer will follow!

Odd Ball Buggies Qualification: This cars is ultra RARE it was a commercial failure and not many were sold, its chassis is a mish mash of DESIGN features from the previous two PB buggies.

I can remember having one of these briefly in the 80's. Bought it off a friend of mine at school, then found out that he'd pulled the threads out of the drive cups when over tightening the ball diff. This meant that the ball diff didn't sit in the centre of the drive shaft, and as the transmission rotated the front-rear belt would tighten and loosen as the diff pulley rotated. Was a nice piece of engineering for the time though. Alloy transmission plates were a sign of things to come. I seem to remember the original owner paying £200 for it new, which was an awful of money at the time (Nearly 2 hotshots). I think I sold it for £30.
