I bought this when it was only a few months old in 1981 for about £25 from a colleague of my father's who had built it, used it a few times, and then got bored of it. I used it constantly for years until the transmitter broke and it then just resided on my shelf with a Sand Scorcher body fitted.

I found it in the attic last week after it went up there 15 years ago and feel I owe it some TLC once more and plan to restore it soon.
