Ta02 Sand Scorcher???
I have a NIB chevy s-10 and so i bought an used F-150 racing truck with the same chassis to use as a runner. But, received it , i decided to put a hard body on it instead of the lexan one, just to make it more realistic. I have a blackfoot body, but other people here used it on the ta02 chassis, so i wanted to use something different. My blitzer beetle caught my attention and i tried the body: that was perfect! So i ordered a new blitzer body, put it on the chassis, drill 4 new holes and painted it in a simply paint scheme. It still needs some finish-touch and radio-gear, but it's lovely!
05-06-05: updated pics, with radio gears and esc...now it's ready to run!

Wheel base is a bit long but nice idea. This hardshell thing is catching.

Probably the problem isn't the lenght of the wheelbase but the fact that i mounted the body a little bit on the backward side...my mistake!

Came across your beetle ,I like the big wheels and tyres theme.gives the car a really purposeful and brutish go anywere style, nice one. gad32

Hey I saw your bug and I think this is soo cool I love the narrow wheel base. did you need to buy different body mounts to make it work?? What are the options for wheels ...how do they mount??? I was thinking of buying the f-150 race truck and mounting a Monster Beetle body down low with street car tires. Any suggestions ?????? Steve Scorchersandwich

Hi! Thanks for your comment!
About the body mounts, i've used the same you find in the kit for the front, while for the rear i use some long tl01 body mounts (and i've cut them cos they were too long). About the wheels they mount on the standard 12mm hex for both front and rear, but i don't know if you can use them with street tires...maybe you have to buy different wheels i.e. the ones used on tt01, tb02 etc...
If you have other questions, feel free to ask!
Cheers!
