This was a very nice XC hybrid conversion that I did a little while back. It was built with a short wheelbase XC chassis and Blackfoot extreme body. The body was painted with Tamiya's Italian red, and gloss aluminum on the wheels. To mount the body I made some aluminum plates that where atteched to the chassis and in turn the Touareg body posts were mounted to that. I never got to running it, so instead of letting it sit on the shelf it has moved on to another TC member.

Very very nice truck. Very good idea to put this body on this XC chassis. It really looks great and very realistic.

Very realistic. I think It'd look even better with the S-10/Pajero wheels.

That's a smart looking truck. looks far better than most of the proper Tamiya made ones. Chrome wheels would really give it a reall USA truck look.

Nice idea, that doesn't cost a fortune, why didn't Tamiya do it and used the ugly lexan Touareg?

Really nice job. Got a Blackfoot body on the way for the same project. Tamiya fever is my Guru in this The ugly lexan Touareg body only costs about 10% of the production costs of the Blackfoot bodyset, so I think that's why Tamiya goes for lexan.
