Took the desert scorcher off the shelf yesterday for a fresh paintjob. Got the shell sanded down but my brain started up (it does every once in a while) and ideas worked their way from my head to my hands, then into power tools. Ended up removing the rear arches, and standing them off the body about 2mm. I originally wanted to make ally wings but it was easier to keep the originals. these will be painted in ally-look paint or met.silver. The bolts stand out a bit but they will be painted body colour once everything is done and the shell sanded down and filled. The front arches have been drilled for the race weight-saving look. All window rubber mouldings have been grilnded out of the side windows and sanded off the front and rear screens, real cars dont have the rubbers in when there are no windows anyway. Took a bit of time but the result is perfect and looks more realistic. Final thing was to make a 'perspex' sunroof, held in with SS wheel nuts/bolts and to blend the rain gutter into the shell next to the rear window. Really happy with how the mods have turned out, took a lot of time to do them all but it'll be worth it i think. Im on the lookout for a drivers head from the Wild One, if anyone has one ive got paypal waiting. Not sure what else can be done to the shell, might try a dashboard and some ally panelling inside the doors. Any other ideas?

Did you mess up the #46 body???? I loved that paint scheme...... I love the attention to detail in the effort of realism! With your approval I might have to borrow some of those ideas. Between you, Jim (Shodog), and Alex (InetRC), the quality of some of the showrooms is looking fantastic! Love it! BTW, I have a WO driver tree all new. Let me know if you need one. Thanks, keep up the great work! - Jay

In addition to your already really bad-ass-lookin´shell, you could try to add a few bulletholes, or perhaps make it look like it was shot fairly close range with a shotgun, perhaps by some angry farmer, not liking the 'local kids' bashing abouthis farm, scaring the cattle??. LOL.. Anyway, so far it looks really great..
Cheers.

Yuo have an amazing way with these SRB's. Most of what I have tried to do is just to achieve the quality of finished product you have, but you have an immagination that I could only aspire to. Nice work!

Joe-sean again. I have to ask. I am new at this hobby. In more detail how did you do the modifacation on this bug? Iam sure you are swamped with questions very day. I sent you an email a while back on the parma decals you bouhgt. I think I found them but didn't know where you got the seven. It looks like it has a siginture on it. Any way I am not trying to duplicate your ideas. I just like the way you think. Iam new to this hobby and very creative. Hopefully you will see some of my work in the future. Thanks-sean
