Man - 14/11/1974.
Even though we are looking at t Tamiya's very first production R/C Model - you can see the tremendous attention to detail in the mouldings, packaging and presentation of the kit. This model is over 30 years old - and I have to say puts to shame the way kits are packaged now days!
This particular kit is VERY early production - as it has the manual with no picture of the Sherman at all on the cover. Later versions apparently had pictures!
The feeling of opening a vintage kit like this is so truly awesome in so many ways.
I have only one to go in the first 4 Tank models from Tamiya now - the #2 model - Leopard.
The tanks really are works of art!

RETRO R/C
To be totally honest - I dont think I could bare to break the blisters on this one. It has gone over 30 years without being built - this is one to be preserved, as it left the factory all those years ago. I will get the re-release eventually, (when I have recovered from paying for this one), and run it.
This one is just to historical like it is.....they're simply cant be whole lot of them left!

WOW, by the looks of it, you needed a used car loan to buy it when it was new. I think I just got a runner model of this posted up today.
