I built the 406 to run the TL01 chassis ...after awhile , the fun wore off. Decided to make it an offroader. I ditched the short arms and swapped in the long arms from my Blackfoot Extreme project left overs. Added TA02 steering knuckle . Metal steering rods from my junkbox. I used a set of 4 dogbones from my Blitzer Beetle spares. Front skid came from one of my BF Extreme trees (a spare) and the rear end a butchered TL01 bumper which I attached a scorcher cage ( originally broken from one of my scorchers). Recycled Scorcher lexan runner body . An aluminium brace (nothing but a 1mm angle bar) bolted to the short shock tower , allowed me to used 2 good old cable ties to fasten the cage down. I used the original body post and fastened them so that they were horizontal. This fits the beetle body rear end well (a slope). 4 silver oils shocks finish the job. Final thing was to add the scorcher metal antenna.... (even has a little flag, not shown in pic) I am proud that its a 'green' car , cos all the parts are recycled.... . I am going to drive it like I stole it !

Cool car! Its a bit like my Baja Champ - only better. Like the rear cage I'll have to do something similar to mine.

This car is fantastic. I too have a TL-01 project on the go and want to do a Baja Bug. This will give me some inspiration!
