Started out with an original 58005 chassis (see last photo) I then bought re-release bodykit. The 'boxed' body sets just weren't around, so I settle for a re-release. I then installed the optional ball-raced 540 gearbox case/motor. This required the SP-1077 Diff gear set (which I finally tracked down). I also tracked down a 'Catch-Pin' set for the body (doesn't come with re-release body kit). Finally I got had all the parts and begun restoration. Many hours were spent hand-painting the body detail. I browsed 'real car photos' and painted in the front/side indicators, front spot lights, side badges, rear badges. I also discovered that painting the body 'chrome-silver' behind the rear lights really added realism to them (Esp. the clear reverse lenses). The original R/C gear and speed controller has been preserved, and in went some modern R/C gear + ESC. This car really 'flies' and is way-over powered with the 540 in the back. Very quite and smooth running. Have re-instated the original RS380 motor as I will soon be building up the CS Countach (uses 540 motor)

A great model from any angle ... Great tail lights (painted silver behind lenses) Original 'phone-dial' wheels (very rare/expensive) Shows dash detail ... NIB Re-release body kit that I used Chassis in full running order

She'll be driven in my house, on my carpet - This model is way-over powered (look at the rear-end photo, the whole backend is just motor). I'll be gentle ...

Hi , nice work! what kind of color did you use? TS?

Paint used PS-30 (Brilliant Blue) - Although it's a polycarbonante paint it was the closest colour I could find - I took the 'headlight cover' decals with me to the model shop and 'hunted' for the closest match. Just ensure to rub the body down with fine grade paper, before priming and spraying. You'll be pleased with the end result !!!
