I received these parts for my Birthday also, and have only just got round to doing it.
daveg very kindly made me some ace collets, thanks mate! All the other parts came from Modelsport, and the shocks from my nitro.
I followed the way that mr_pushrod did his, but just change the upper link mounting onto the axle, as how it was made the axle walk from left to right! Fixed that now. I have just about worked out all the niggles, all I need to do it find some better shocks with more travel, and which are very soft (Anyone have any 4' oil shocks with lots of travel and are very soft? :) )
Definitely an improvement on articulation and overall suspension.

EDIT: I've fitted some bigger, softer Traxxas shocks which makes a big improvement, but if anyone knows how to mod the front suspension, then please drop me a line, thanks!

UPDATE: I'm at a stage where I can't get much futher with the mods, and the shocks amount of travel is slightly limiting. The bottom two pics are where I'm at at the moment.

UPDATE: Now managed a bit more travel by adding longer shocks on the front, see last pic.

All the parts that made it. Now sits a tad lower with softer springs More flex than before 4 batteries is all it can manage...

Good to see you are starting to mod your XC! I tried the stacked links you have now but found the screw bent very easily causing the XC to crab.
