This Blazer completes my collection of 1/10th 3 Speed Trucks. It has taken ages to complete. Restoration was halted for some time as i was lucky enough to find a very rare Limited Edition Black 934 RSR Porsche, and i just had to restore this first. As with all my restorations the model was completely stripped down and each component was cleaned and either Zinc Plated, Anodized or refinished to give that fresh from Tamiya look ( Not over polished ) The Chassis went together well and all the Radio gear and 6V Battery were installed and tested. The body needed much more work. Both front wheel arches were modified by a previous owner and had to be re-modelled (Last Picture shows how bad they were), The body was also covered in cracks, deep scratches and splits. All of this was fixed and prepaired for painting. Gloss Black acrylic paint was used, when dry all the Decals went on. I then clear coated, polished and waxed the body to give it that glass smooth finish. The roof was the next part to be finished. I desided that i wanted it to look like a real aluminium roof , so i covered the wing parts with Bare Metal Chrome Adhesive backed foil and this gave me exactly what i wanted.
Lastly the Driver was painted and seated. As a final touch i added a full four point Seat Belt Harness with shoulder pads for the Driver.
This has been a long restoration but well worth the effort. I hope you all like it.

Dribble, Dribble..!!! As it says under the 'Chevrolet' sticker at the back 'CHAMPION!' I just love your restorations mate, The best in the club in my book. They just always look like youve spent 100's of hours sorting them to perfection! The details on this are sooo mouth watering, Like the seat belts & driver. Gota have a look at your work in the flesh sometime young man

There is something about your restorations Rad what realy make them stand out.And it's this:Awesome detailing, perfect color choices and beatifull paintwork. You set the bench mark for others to follow and you are an insperation to us all.I have a mint blazer and a tidy runner blazer and also a long term project blazer what needs a lot of front end work .And i look at this one you have mastered and i know it will be worth it when it's done.Take care mate and thanks for sharing your beautifull collection with us.Tim
