'Sprout' my first Tamiya Mini
My very first Tamiya Mini!
Standard M01 chassis, bought new when they first were released (1994?). The bodyshell was built to resemble my actual Mini at the time; a UK limited edition British Open Classic. It is painted Pactra Metallic Green, backed with Tamiya PS12 silver and then with PS05 black. The sunroof is made of black leather and is folded back to show the innards, just like on a real electric full length sunroof. I've won a model concours class with this one!
The paint is now peeling badly so its body will be replaced. But You Never Forget Your First Mini...
