A very special Impreza RB5

Well here it is at last - the very special Impreza I've been planning since late last year. With the tragic passing of World Rally Champ Richard Burns I felt this was my chance to make a really fitting tribute, so here it is - my RB5. The RB5 was available in the UK from April 1999 and was built to celebrate Richard Burns returning to the Subaru WRC team. Limited to 444 models, the car was named after Richard Burn's car number 5 in the WRC. This particular model Impreza was available only in Blue Steel Metalic with 17' Speedline alloy wheels, but could also be purchased with the optional WR-Sport package which added amongst other things a Prodrive bodykit, black Prodrive alloy wheels, re-mapped ECU and tweaked exhaust. My version of the Tamiya Impreza WRC shell has small mods including lowered front splitter done in carbon effect and lower sideskirts. The centre of the rear wing is also done in carbon. The roof sticker was bought from the official RB5 website. The RB5 Owners Club are taking donations and will be submitting them to Cancer Research as Richard's family have requested.
