From Happy to Sad to Happy Again :-)

We all take risks when purchasing online, especially when purchasing from overseas. I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, so most of my deals either come by boat or air and have a higher risk of getting damaged while in transit. I purchased 2 vintage Ultimas within the same week and was very very happy to say the least. I was led to believe that both were complete rollers. Well, both were either missing parts or had parts broken :-( My first Ultima was purchased from ebay and I've dealt with the seller before, so I knew the deal was right. Well, when I got the buggy, I was shocked to find out that I was mislead to believe it was complete or near it by photo and description. It was missing lots of parts and roll cage got damaged while in transit due to poor packaging on the sellers part. The second Ultima was purchased from an r/c forum and it too was missing parts. BUT, the good thing is that they both had the parts that each needed to complete. So, instead of having two complete rollers, I now have one Original Ultima that I'm very Happy With :-) With communication and understanding, I got compt by both sellers and everything turned out A-OK!

First photo is of the Ultima I purchased on ebay. The rear wheel was placed to make it seem as if it was mounted, but when I got the buggy, it was missing the Drive hubs, dogbones, the steering/ all linkages, and other small parts. Roll cage was also cracked (Said it was from shipping)

Second photo is the Ultima I purchased from an online message board. It was in great shape, but also had missing parts. It came with the cool aluminum wheels.

Third photo is the finished product that puts a smile on my face :-) Complete polish of all aluminum parts will be done soon. Enjoy!!!!
