I ordered the parts i needed to complete this traxxas emax gearbox online from models in motion and have now recieved them very good service and nice easy to use site i have fitted my ezila motors and have used standard emaxx gearing at the moment plenty of other pinions and spur gears are available if this is over or undergeared.

The aim is a 14.4volt twin motor and twin battery tnx using the two speed emaxx gearbox fitted with ezilla motors and esc and either a traxxas or hpi 3 or 4 channel reciever so i can use both gears. This should be easy and is my main project . The wheels will be hpi and tyres are hpi dirt bones like on my terrorcrusher or savage .

The body will hopefully be a standard tnx, the chassis was bought from ebay with no engine wheels or body and when it is done i could always sell the tnx gearbox to get some money back.Have since sold gearbox and for what i got i wish i had kept it .

The next post (part2) will be when i get the gearbox fitted in and front and rear diffs connected up.

Very nice! I'd love to do something like that. You not temped to go brushless with it though?

Not at the moment going to do it this way first and once it is up and running i might save some money for a brushless setup .
