My Mod Clod is finally finished after 2 and a half years!!! This started off as a pretty sorry looking standard Clod Buster that I bought for £25 off a guy who came into work in 2003. I stripped the truck, selling everything apart from the shell and axles with wheels as I knew these would not be needed. Over time I gathered various bits and pieces although it's only in the last 4 months that things have really started to happen.

The truck is fitted with a Twinset designed chassis that was a trade with Biggus Ditchus and also features Twinset axle braces and steering kits. I used Traxxas Maxx shocks as they were nice and cheap and the twin silvercans are fed by an old Speedmaster Silverstar ESC. Radio is 3 channel Hitec with rear steer controlled by a small knob - not the best arrangement and one which will be changed when funds allow. The shell is a Parma '57 Chevy Bel Air and has been sprayed in Tamiya pink to gold irridescent paint for the flames with black for the rest. I plan on using this for crawling so a few things will be changed in time; diffs will be locked and motors replaced with Graupner Speed 600 Ecos for more torque. For the moment though I'm happy to run it like this, I think it looks awesome and performs so much better than stock!!

Many thanks to Biggus Ditchus, Twinset, Mad Zero and Brat Attacks for their help and contributions with this truck :D

Big Johnson has got to be the best MT name yet! I'm tempted to slate the wheels (as that's your hobby!) but I'll let you off for being a skint student ..this time!

hmmm, big johnson bit err naff? but the truck looks great better when you see it in person. Agree with Buzz bout the wheels, he may be a student but how much does a can of black paint cost, that would improve the look vastly. Gutted you gave away the chrome wheels on the bullhead now aint you wonder where they are now............... oh thats right on Ericas Mod CLod, LOL, sorry!

Hmm, may have to get hold of some black paint for the wheels. As for the name, I like it and I can't be bothered looking for another sticker, lol.
