One that Tamiya should have considered: Porsche 968 Club Sport (968CS)

Built when Porsche were not doing too well (anybody remember the recession during the early 1990's?) but by some chance they managed to create one of the finest chassis of any road going car - a driver's car bar none. Autocar, amongst others, still rates this as one the best drivers' cars around, albeit rather under powered by today's standards. However, its 4 cylinder water-cooled engine is capable of kicking out 240 BHP. A little known fact is that Spain hosted the Porsche 968 CS Cup ('Copa 968 CS') series, which ran in 1993 and 1994.

Other more extreme derivatives included the Turbo charged versions - the Turbo S and Turbo RS, of which only 15 and 4 respectively were ever built!
