Tamiya Championship Series winner!
Totally stock kit. I purchased this to build and race in the TCS #4 race held in San Jose, CA, 1994. We drove 4 hours one way from Lake Tahoe, CA to race. I ended up making the main and just holding on to win first place in stock 4WD! Eric Sands at Tamiya (and the crew) gave me a NIB Lotus 103B kit and the largest trophy I have ever owned too boot for the win. Great time in my life.

MMMM TA02 rules. Do you still have this car?

It's the orig. TA01 actually. Yes, I still have the chassis and planning to revive as a Porsche 911GT3 with custom Carrera Cup UPS brown coloured sponsored livery. Since 1994, the orig. 190E EVO body and rims have seen better days and were not worth repairing.

Love the hardware, that is a big Trophy
.. I ran the TCS from 2001-2004 - no hardware, but it was a ton of fun and I got to know David Jun...

This is proof the TCS series started in 1994! I need to get Tamiya USA to update their archives with these photos. Loved the race, we drove down from Lake Tahoe for the event, great memories. Imet Eric Sands at this race, and grew up knowing Joel Johnson and his dad Gary way back when running nitro boats in NAMBA.
