hillman imp
storey begins with a kamtec v12 abs imp shell i bought just cos i like imps, didnt have a chassis for it. had a look in my LHS and found the closest track width was the m chassis range, owner did me a deal on a bmw mini as he had loads in, and work began. shortened the chassis by removing the spacer and cutting out a futher 25mm, swapped front arms for rear to make it rear wheel drive(it runs backwards effectivly). then i started on the shell, it is a rep of a rally car my father and uncle used to run when i was about 6, i cut out the windows and fitted tinted asitate, mody mesh for the grill, scratch built exhaust, hol bug spotlamps with 959 lenses fitted(working), finished with random spare decals. like the car to look at, very 'challenging' to drive (spins round easily), only disapointment is how big i had to cut out the front arches. it is now very battle scarred and im currently building a replacement shell.
