I bought this car from a stranger off of the bay. It went without any bids, but the story that accompanied this car was interesting enough that I bought it based on that alone, I now have 3 of his cars, one on the way and hope to have more as time goes on. This started life as a Kyosho Mini nitro version. I have always liked the Mini format and all of the cars that have been built on it to date. That said, this is even smaller, it is very short coupled and this only adds to the fun. It has a pretty much generic VW bug body, but thats where the generic ends. He shortned the chassis and hand built the exhaust and the really good looking engine that sits in the rear along with the interesting front bumper. The rear mounts are homemade as well as are many of the other interior parts. The man has the uncanny ability to combine the best of everything at his disposal to make a practicle, yet exotic car. This car starts with a one way bearing in a wand mounted in a drill. All of his cars start from the same type of wand. This cuts down on the amount of junk you need to carry around for each car and works very well. The engine is an OS and has plenty of zip to make this thing seem like it is going a lot faster than it probably is. Although it is only a single speed this was built for fun and that it is. He has helped to inspire me to get some of the things I need to get done finished and to look at things in a different way. It is ok to just build what the manufacture intended, but it is also ok to use your imagination and skills to come up with something totally different. The only thing I changed was the wheels, I have enough alloy's now that if I can that is all I am going to run. Note the hand made dual exhaust as well and the total use of every available speck of space. We have also coresponded back and forth and I am glad to be able to call him a friend now. I will be posting the others as time to photograph permits, darn work! I have more than 2 dozen that need to be photographed and posted. Thanks for you all's continued support!

Bradd, Absolutely cool. I just gotta add, I wish I had as nice a photo backdrop as you do.

Great looking car - with that wing it reminds me of some of the cars in the VWDRC...
