After my brushless phase my blitzer beetle which came pretty mint from Martin71rs it was left with a catalogue of damage including dogbones launched into the stratosphere, graunchy gearbox and extremely battered body. Rolling it at about 45mph does that to a hard body. So after a request in the traderoom for some parts to repair the gearbox a non-member (Cheers Dunk ;-) ) contacted me with the offer of a stadium thunder roller in excellent condition, rtr apart from the lack of body, almost enough spares to build another roller and a well used Bear Hawk which should keep my blitzer going for years as long as i stay away from the car-killing brushless stuff lol. You cant tell from the pictures but i spent ages sanding out the scores and scratches on the roof of the blitzer body, the glass was a mess so i did away with it and replaced it with mesh for that baja look. Carbon stickers were cut from a window strip i got free with a copy of Fast car years ago. I used auto paint for the green which is Tara Green and learnt my lesson to only use model type paints in future as auto stuff chips easy unless applied to metal. Pretty annoyed with myself for messing up the finish a bit when removing the masking tape after applying the white, but this will be a beach basher so not the end of the world.

Completely missed this one. Nice to see it in good nic again. What paint did you use to chrome the wheels? Looks very nice from here.

Thanks Ewe, wheels came with a stadium thunder lot i bought already done. Sadly i had to sell this as i was raising money for a trip to italy on my bike. We are coming back via your neck of the woods so we can do a few laps of the Nurburgring.
