Won this car on E-bay. The car was in very good condition and built to kit specifications. I originally bought the car to race at the BRCA Southern England regional 2WD off-road meeting held at my local club in Swindon, Wiltshire, in which 'open class' heats were held. I modified the car with ballraces, heavy duty prop shaft, Ball diff in the rear and FRP front and rear shock towers for more suspension adjustments and also adjustable top suspension arms. Now I’ve replaced the rear wing with an Associated B4 wing since all the race meetings have destroyed the original one .

The motor I've been using is a V2 19T which puts in a very good 'punch' and a reasonable top speed going through a LRP ESC.

The car should now be called a 'Top Ray' or a 'Manta Force'.....

At the regional ‘open class’ the car came in 3rd out of approximately 16 cars, behind a Yokomo and a Top Force – with this being the only other Tamiya car there!!
I used the car at club meetings over at the Chippenham Model car club outdoor meetings in which I managed to pick up 4 FTD’s out of 6 meetings. The only major damage to the car during racing was a stripped spur gear.
