Very early and very rare. I had this one in before but it got deleted so here it is again.
Picked this one up from Amigamad (thanks chap).
It's an Ishimasa Rat nitro buggy from 1972. Not much information around about it so any more would be helpful.
All metal chassis and gearbox, two piece ally wheels, this thing is heavy!
I have made a front screen and am in the process of making a rough looking hood/roof.
Then I need to find a centrifugal clutch the right size so I can pop an engine in!

Lovely buggy - very scale looking and some nice detailing too. I love the amount of metal used in the older cars, I know plastic is lighter and often better suited to RC kits these days, but I love the kits with real metal parts .
Don't take this personally, but I'd lose the roof if I was you .

CHeers Chris I know the roof is a bit iffy but my uncle had a 1:1 vw based buggy years ago and that had a roof (of sorts) so I thought I'd see how one would look! I think you're right tho, I probably will ditch the roof and just do a nice bright paint job on it!

Very nice I think it looks better without a roof too. Those headlights would look good with some nice shiny LEDs in them....

Really nice from an old car fanatic! I have a Supitaru Industries that is nearly finished same year, it was Kanai's first RC car, only info I can find!

Got one of the same, now fully restored. Had it since '72. I can help with clutch dimentions & I have the original assembly handbook.
