Continuing the current 'trend' for desert racing/baja beetles, here's my work in progress Super Champ/ Scorcher Hybrid.

There's still quite a few jobs to do but she's now at least starting to look like a car! Most of the time consuming bodywork is done (smoothing and reshaping the nose took far longer than I thought) but she's almost ready for my favourite part - the paint! I'm planning on having her finished for the Dorset beach bash with Rad and Whopper later this month - best I pull my finger out!
I'll list some better pics and I'll provide some more detail on what I did when she's finished!
Comments always appreciated!

I love the look thus far, the details like screen and air filter do so much to make a scale vehicle look real. Nice work!

Very nice Baja Racer. A separate category should be applied, to have them all together.

To some perhaps, but I build 'em to run 'em! That's the whole point of RC cars!

Nice one! I've got something similar in the works as well. The Super Champ chassis with Bug body is just about spot-on for a real racer. IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, JOE!
