Completely bone stock Beetle - except for the blood red wheels. Also painted the kit wheels a lovely ghost white and death black.
I had intended to do this photo shoot in the cemetery, but the gates were 'mysteriously' locked.... Spooky.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Wow - without the bodyposts, it could be mistaked with the real one... (Great photos !!!)
Brat Attacks
That does look really good. Prefer the red wheels.
AAAA
I imagine they locked the gates when they saw you walking up to them carying a model VW, two pumpkins and a camera!
OCD
LOL - Indeed you're probably right - not so mysterious eh?
Rising Jack
Looks very realistic, like it.

wow nice car, and nice work on it. These are so sexy, I hope Tamiya brings the body back at least for the new minis... They lock the gates to keep out the weirdos...LOL

What a beautiful car ! Looks so nice in black. Good job on the original wheels.

Thanks Joachim I was partly inspired by how nice yours looked - Black is a great color for these. I also went with black because it is the same color as my father's first VW, and I built this one as a gift to him. (Sshhhh! )
DJTheo
Sweet bug and photos!

Did you brought a shovel? If so, it was obvious you were not allowed to enter the cemetary...Very nice Beetle!!!

Great beetle! I like it a lot!
OCD
Thanks... but I thought a shovel was the ONLY way to get 'in' a cemetery...?
rizzo rat
Stunning looking beetle, looks great with the 4 spokes.

Great looking car, almost looks real. Like it most with original wheels.
