TA04-R - with some hop-ups for racing
Constructed to race at a local club amateur level. Very well made - fully ballraced, carbon top brace etc.
Racing it this winter (04), very enjoyable although I had a problem with lack of rear grip which I found out was the rear ball diff not being tight enough (so it was slipping). I also took the opportunity to replace it with an ally one (see pic) when rebuilding it. Also fitted new carbon shock towers (visible in pics).
Just tuned it with Hudy set-up station, so it'll be interesting to see if it helps, and makes me more consistent! It was nice using it, it's a nice feeling of satisfaction to get equal toe-in, camber etc!
**UPDATE**Don't use the red 'Tamiya' turnbuckles (ally hop-up) - they bent first time out racing (& crashing :) ) Bought some titanium 'Lunsford' ones instead - much more sturdy and lifetime gurantee too! Send 'em back if they bend and they replace them.
Spent ages applying decals carefully
