This is a TA02 chassis car with a Manta Ray center chassis and long Stainless Manta Ray Prop Shaft. I bought a couple 1/10 'toy' type General Lee cars and removed the body from one. The wheelbase was 11.1 inches so I had to improvise and with the Manta Ray chassis and long shaft it lined up perfect. I had to do some dremmel work with the wheel wells in order to make room for the HPI wheels and tires. I drilled body posts and an antenna hole. I also reworked the front bumper to allow for the Charger's front lip spoiler and bumper bar. Rosco P. Coltraine better watch out!!!

Well, I better get myself down to the Wal Mart for one of them toys before they are all gone. WE NEED SOME HOW TO BUILD INFO. What kind of tires(name) please.

Basically what I did was take a standard TA02, the wheelbase was too short for this body. It needed to be about 11.1 inches. So happens that the wheelbase of the manta is 11.1, so I picked up a manta chassis and stainless propshaft from Jason. Now the wheelbase was right. The rest was a matter of modifying the toy body. I had to dremmel out the wheel wells and drill body posts, as well as modify the bumper. The wheels/tires are HPI vintage. wide rears, narrow fronts. Thanks again!

It looks far too good to jump, but the General Lee always looks best either airbourne or powersliding sideways!
