Wish Ricky was faster !!
Got this from the states when they very first came out, its great the way it stays up an rides over every thing in its path, whats not so good is the speed. So ripped it all apart, stuck in a real radio and esc, bit faster but not much better. So out with the motor and in with a 17 turn, gear it down a little, guess what? yeah you got it, no faster! in fact it seemed slower. No matter what you do that big heavy flywheel in the back wheel just dont want to spin any faster. Wish I could find the standard motor to put back in it! I made some USD Forks and an alloy swinging arm, ballraced it, even lightened that flywheel, and new chassis that dont bend out of aircraft grade alloy, and an oil filled rear damper. Handles great now but, still slow. Got new one in box was going to nitro it but you know I bet it would still be slow!

Looks great! Indeed, it looks better when going fast.

Nice mod job! Those dampers look great, you should build and sell them.
Biscuit
I did build and sell them.

Cool I got an alloy rear swing arm on one of mine too. Have you tried a Reedy 19turn Quad mag motor (The one with the flames down the side?) mine seems to be a fair bit faster than stock

Hey Biscuit, i was a bit bored the other day, and worked on my ricky, it now has a 5.5r Novak Brushless setup in it, on the smallest pinion i could find in this pitch. Theres still some adjustment, so as long as i can get this motor to rev, it *should* be fast lol. The brushless in the 1/5th R1 is damn fun, so hoping this is too! Just fitted the steering servo, so hopefully a test run in the near future!.
