Where it all began!
This was my first Mod Clod, circa October 2002
The chassis was an ESP Clodzilla III. At the time, they were racing chassis - longer wheelbase, better stablility, bits hanging down under the chassis - No mention of rocks at all!
Articulation was nothing special (not a lot more than nothing actually b)) as the shocks were mounted to the axles, so each corner lifted maybe 25-40mm at best, depending on the shocks, although the Zilla IV had cantilever mounts
Build quality on this one was nothing special, fair few of the holes never lined up - if you look at the chassis pic (2nd pic down) you'll see a couple of the top platform supports are missing - they were being tapped!
The chassis design was really an alu replacement for the stock tub; The body mounts were in the same place, and even the steering servo was still in the middle of the truck!
In fine Twinset tradition, this one never got run, and was sold shortly after these pics were taken.
The truck started life as a Bullhead, but I bought a Chevy badge Clod body for it, think I paid around £65 NIB for it.

Perhaps my thread about the 1st Mod Clod brought memories of this back? Wonder how much you have spent since the incarnation of this truck and how many nice 1/1 cars that would buy?
TWINSET
Yes it did chap, I knew I had pics somewhere
I've only spent £8.20 since then, and I gave the wife both receipts to prove it

Okay - pic #6. Is that a salad dressing bottle ? Tell me you didn't eat a salad while building this ! That just ain't right . . . . . .
TWINSET
Mate, I don't eat salad, period
It has no place on the plate, as it's just taking up room from the chips (fries)
Quite frankly, with the many interesting things you can do with potatos, they may as well just do away with salad altogether - Especially rocket - does anyone else think that's just a weed?
The dressing is actually Thousand Island - great in a folded up slice of bread
