This is my main runner. Being a RR, I don't have to worry about it, although it started off life in box art and as a really nice model. That lasted about one practice lap at my local track. As I figured out design weaknesses in the things, rather than replace parts without question, I sought to rectify the problems. I've basically gone over this thing from one end to the other as time has gone by, and it is now a formidable machine. Power plant is basic, a Tamiya sport tuned, but it does the job, and takes heaps of abuse. More than anything with an end bell, as you can tape off the vents when required. The steering uprights have been drilled, tapped and countersunk with M3 studs. No more axles falling out on this car. The front suspension is bushed, rather than shoulder bolted only, for improved 'tightness' in the front end. There is plenty of custom ally work on the plastic bits that tend to fail. The bumper is all about the track rods, and keeping them doing their job. The ally battery tray is a godsend. The plastic ones hate to land from a great height without breaking and dropping your battery (last time it was one lap in to a race). The dogbones have been shimmed and sprung to reduce dogbone pop outs, and the rear tires are those after market things all over Ebay which are a bit more aggressive, and tend to grip better over a wider range of surfaces. The body is one I made, so I can destroy as many as I like doing stupid stuff. And just to top it all off, the chemist gave me weird looks when I went in and asked for the 'thickest condoms you have please'

the new baby after some work early on how it looks now, needs some decals (body is new) 1 Some people have better things to use these for but this works really well augments the factory plastic, which can tear The top is bushed and has through fittings to ally Battery tray is a must for heavy duty work there is a spring and bush in there somewhere counter shafted. Another must for heavy work

I certainly hope those were UNLUBRICATED as well. I would venture a guess that there won't be any heat issues.LOL
