Land Rover LR3 body on a VW Touareg kit chassi. Wheelbase is not the best fit and neither is the width of the axles, but not bad as a close representation. Still in the works. Might repaint the body and do a few more things to make it more to scale. My only problem w/ this set up is the fact that the CC-01 chassi is a solid rear axle. Will look into swapping the chassi to a full independent suspension chassi so it replicates the original vehicle's drivetrain and suspension.

Marty, this is from a toy monter truck by NewBright. Apparently they acquired Land Rover's brand name use license therefore it's a pretty accurate model. It's available here in the US and i'm sure it's avail. overseas.

Does seem to fit the chassis well; Did you change the wheel base? Looks OK in the pics!

thanks, i set the camera on the ground on timer and gave full throttle when shutter went off.
the wheelbase is a hair short. i had to trim off the wheelarches quite a bit to avoid rubbing on full flex. still rubs due to the wide tires.

Looks very smart why don't tamiya put a land rover body on an xc chassis rather than the awful VW Touareg.

looks really nice, Ironically much like so many slowly neutered real SUVs you will lose off road ability if you convert to independent suspension but gain on road handling. I say long live the rigid axle. LOL!

l can't see anything wrong with the 'fit'. That's looks really smart.

wyoming, i wholeheartedly agree w/ you about the solid axles. all my land rovers have been solid axles and loved them for that. although my current range rover isn't and realized that they are quite capable as is. my current project is an F350 and bought it because of the transmission and axles. we'll see how that turns out. cheers
