Hi all, this is my High Lift that I got around Christmas. Have to say the build is ace. I really enjoyed it and I was pleased that the 3 speed gearbox worked straight away. This is my first hard bodied shell since my Sand Scorcher 25 years ago. I have been so impressed by some of the paint jobs on here and I have tried to be as good. I won't say its easy and next time I will prime it and rub down as some of the mould release lines are still visible on this one. It is painted TS-11 Maroon, TS-42 Light Gun Metal after some digging around the Ford website as this is close to one of the actual colours available, and the bed is TS-29 Semi Gloss Black. I fitted Futaba 4wd radio and mc330cr ESC. I followed the some of Scollins ideas about putting the receiver in a bag in the fake fuel tank and also relocated the ESC. Then the Scollins interior set became available and I managed to bag one of the 1st ones and so here it is. I have added dashboard, fire extinguisher and glovebox lid to the interior. I am now on the lookout for a head figure without a crash helmet. Anyway I am going to enjoy this one as shelf queen for a while before I take it out and get it MUDDY !!!! I hope you like it and thanks to Scollins for an excellent job on the interior and glass. I hope you all think I have done it justice. Cheers. Paul.

Looks great! I am so happy you like the interior kit!!
Nice hi-lift. The maroon looks identical to F250s I have at my work. Does Ford release the side mirrors as colour coded?? I though they came in black only. How did you paint/mask the side window trim in black? Very nice masking!!

I don't know about Ford doing the mirrors colour coded, I just decided I would. It is supposed to look like the Toreador Red over Silver from the Ford site. Mind you they are only held on with velcro so I could take them off and do them black! I used Tamiya masking tape to very carefully mask the windows and then used a very small brush laid flat to paint the frames. Same for the bumpers. The only black that was sprayed was on the flatbed. I had a nightmare job getting the paint to take round the fuel cap. Must have been some release agent left in there. I had to sand it very carefully and apply more paint. Also when doing the flatbed yesterday morning I used Tamiya masking tape to mask the detail and then normal houshold masking tape to do the rest and the glue from the household tape reacted with the paint / clear coat and ruined it. It took quite a bit of polishing to get it back how it is. In fact I think I polished all the clear coat off. Anyway I'm please how it came out and it sure was a learning experience. Thanks for your comments guys. Does anyone have a head without a helmet they want to sell ? cheers Paul
