Rotary Rules
This is the first ever newly released kit I wanted right from the first time I heard a rumour about it. I _really_ like all the Mazda RXes.
Took me a long time to build but now it's finished - still missing receiver and speedo. The standard lighting kit gives you only 2 pairs of leds, although the body kit can take 6 pairs, 3 in front and 3 in the rear. The TLU01 can handle 8 led pairs, so I will go for at least another 2 soon. The chassis has the usual necessary hop ups: ball bearings, oil shocks, tire inserts, adjustable steering with ball connectors. Aluminium prop shaft and motor mount would be a good idea, too.
If you liked those pictures, you should see these...

Very nice kit, I like it as well. Can you open and close the headlights or are they just molded in the lexan ? Jerome.

Headlights are Polystyrene. You can install them as open - with light kit or closed. No rc-controlled mechanism - sadly...

In theory, rotaries rule. In execution, not so much. Nice Tamiya.

Cool to see you got an RX-8 too!
Me too!
I also have an RX-7 1982 as I love those Rotaries too.
Did you know, HPI has released an RX-8 body? There are 190mm and 200mm versions.

Hi Dee - Yep, I saw the HPI RX8 but didn't like the Mazdaspeed-bodykit-rearwing-kinda-ricey style
