Well, here it is.
Took me about three months to get to this point; I'm calling it finished for now.
Once again, massive thanks goes to Mr. Lexan for doing these decals - they are simply wonderful.
All electronics installed; Tamtech Servo and ESC, and a Novak XXL receiver, because it's little, and orange! (Is it obsessive to match electronics withthe paint scheme? lol!) I also decided to go with a Tamtech 'Black' motor and aluminum pinion. Not exactly a 'super car' in the speed department, but man does this thing look good in motion!
Not long after the initial build, I began to think that the car could really use a bit more detail, so I started digging around for a scale exhaust tip. Just by coincidence, when I ordered my F350 wheels from Morfars.DK, they sent me this aluminum exhaust pipe as a complimentary 'key fob'. Being a bit too small for 1/10 scale, it's perfect for 1/12! All I needed to install it was a longer screw, a washer, and an O-ring.
Parked next to my neighbors 910 ;)
Overall, I must reiterate my enthusiasm for this model - Such a great design out of the box, and yet so much more you can do with it. And to drive it? Well, as I afore mentioned, it's a bit slow with the stock wind motors - and I suppose that's to be expected. Although with it's efficient drivetrain and slipper clutch, there's not much stopping you from bolting on something much more exciting. Personally though, I'm going to keep it conservative with this one. From what I understand, the new black motor with the red endbell is a little quicker... and how cool is it that they made a miniature version of the old endurance motor!?!?
