This is a re-re Brat. Decided to go for a red theme on this so have built it with a red chassis, a red CRP front bumper ..... and even red crystals in the radio gear!!! I've also added a CRP rear bumper too. It could be dyed red but I can't be bothered! I wanted something non-standard colourwise on the bodyshell though so I introduce to you the Brat Rallye with twin white racing stripes and metallic red paint. Mr Tamiya may think it's fine to get away with passing these off as 4WD on the decals but I've been a bit more honest in an obvious and not so obvious way! This is a great runner. The steering is really tight, this has got to have the smallest turning circle of any Tamiya car I've ever had.

Car was an entry into the Alternative Paintjobs competition September 2007 - made 34th place.

Update Summer 2009. Brat Rallye has become my main race car for the Retro Racers summer series at Hinckley RCCC. Still running stock ( though I have changed the crystals to blue and replaced the rear tyres with some vintage Concord Deserter tyres ) and it goes really well, surprisingly fast and with well mannered handling. I'm having a great time racing again with a great group of people at the Hinckley club.

She's no shelf queen! Brat Rallye in action.

Now that is a looker. I don't know about how good those bumpers would do though being tucked up under the body shell, but they are a nice break from the norm. I think Airextreme still has some white front bumpers so you can have a tiny bit more white to go with all that red.
