Expedition ready Pajero

This started life as a 'Police' Shogun which wasn't realy to my taste, but it was straight, sound and almost complete, so, I set about restoring/converting it into something far more suitable for my back garden trail track!
I painted the body using proper Mitsubishi colour celulose paints (how sad is that?!) and have given it a body lift so that the body clears the High Lift tyres (so it looks like a 3' lift and 33' tyres), fabricated a roof rack from brass and made some expedition type stowage including a sand ladder/mat. I also made a ladder (again from brass) so that the driver can easily access the roofrack! I also made a hi-lift jack, shovel, tow cable and mounting bracket for the tail gate. A spare High Lift exhaust box was added on the back and I made a snorkel and pre-cleaner. High lift spot lights were modified to fit on the roof and the original Pajero spots were retained but the stone guards were left off and the lenses replaced. The front nudge bar is another High Lift item, widened to fit the XC chassis and I modified a Wild Willy winch to fit on the front.
As you can see, all the lights work, using grain of wheat bulbs, taking power from the Ni-cad. It's fitted with a 55T motor, is fully ballraced (blue bearings in the exposed areas) and runs a locked rear diff.
I've still got a couple of things to do - make a winch hook, add some of Rad's alloys and make a number plate for the rear (can anyone help me with that?). This has been a cracking little project and I'm pleased with the result. Comments always welcome! ;-)

MINT! LOVE THESE PAJEROS. HOW DID YOU LIFT THE BODY TO FIT THOSE HIGH LIFT TYRES?
sgt.barnes
Absolutley WOW !!! no further comment except it's too clean
chef_bikes
@ CARRERA: I simply turned the front mount upside down and used a small spacer washer in between and the rear mounts were mounted on top of the chassis instead of underneath. Hope that helps.

I agree with everyone about how very nice this is bar one little thing,,,,,,,the red wheelnuts, IMHO they would be better either black or standard silver, apart from that ,it does look fantastic and the detail is superb.
