Lifted High Lift

I like the look of the standard size tyres on the High Lift but as this is my runner I've had problems with the truck bellying out in mud and getting stuck on rocks and stones any bigger than a brussel sprout! After a while this becomes a bit of a pian and also, the stock tyres aren't that grippy on the wet stuff either. So, I thought I'd try fitting some bigger wheels and tyres.
I bought a lift kit from e-bay and it fitted with no major problems giving me a total lift of 25mm. It did however stretch the dampers to their max so I've replaced the original dampers with some propper oil filled jobbies. The only real problem with using the lift kit was that the battery holder now hung below the body line, so off it came battery holder and the Ni-cad is now mounted between the rear chassis rails. I also removed the front nudge bar as it looked a bit mad finishing half way up the radiator grill. I'll have to fabricate another front nudge bar and winch.
I'm pleased to report that the truck's performance has significantly improved with the extra clearance and the bigger tyres - she now goes round my garden test track without getting stuck anywhere! Comments always welcome. ;-)
