Well here is my first very own finished and painted model. I started this hobby a couple of months ago when i bought 2 used (very cool ;) ) cars but i felt the urge of building one myself.

I painted the Willy 2 in metallic black, wich i thought looked real nice with the chrome wheels. I'm not sure if i'm keeping the winch in the colour red. I saw this on a model from another TC member (a green willy2) wich i thought looked real cool.

Building this thing was lots of fun for me, painting was some times frustrating. There are a lot of details on this model and i'm not realy a good painter....i did gave it my best shot.

Next weekend i'm gonna take some better/outside pictures of it.

*UPDATE*

I made some outside shots this weekend and gave it a first run. It's a lot of fun to drive this car I can tell you that.

Thx guys. I'm not going to laquer it, maybe thats something to do for a next model. Didn't even thought about that......oh well, thx for the tip .
On these pictures the metallic look doesn't come out the way it should. It kinda looks flat black here.
Spraying the body gave no problems at all, it was stuff like the fuelcan on the back of the car. I had to paint several layers over it to actualy get it red. It still kinda look 'wheatered' instead of fire engine red but thats ok with me.

What a superb colour choice! Love the yellow colour for the driver too. Definately the most original WW2 on TC.
