Well, you can't buy a Discovery and not do a Camel Trophy conversion, so here it is. Stripped down, sprayed with Rover 'Sand Glow', and then treated to some made up stickers. Now all I need to find is a 'bonnet deep' river to drive across!
The bodies are taken from a G4 Rock Crawler by New Bright. They are currently on Amazon but a bit pricey. You really have to keep looking around for a sensible price. Tesco.com and Argos in the U.K. had them for sale and they also appear on a few US websites but few seem to export.
Excellent work! I would really like to find a suitable LandRover body for my F-350 som I too could enter the Camel Trophy. Although I mostly like the older Landys the new Disco you have is really nice!
The last 3 pictures show the mounting arrangement using two 8 X 8mm square aluminium bars 140mm long which extend 69mm from the rear of the XC chassis and a couple of body post cut-offs knocked into some holes. At the front, I've used the original E4 part but turned it upside down to increase body height.
