I got this lovely Sand Scorcher off a dealer in the UK for a song ... well, a pretty expensive song, but still loads cheaper than most of them go for on the bay. It's the gray bumper version with the molded spring stops and a Japanese manual - but it's in really lovely condition. When it arrived I layed all the bits out on the carpet and just drank in the gorgeous engineering.
This was way before my time when I was a kid - in fact I can't remember anyone having or even talking about these as a kid. But it's only a matter of time until that curvy beetle body lures you to the dark side.
