The Bruiser always fascinated me as a kid. The catalog pictures always showed it flying off the top of a dune spraying dust off to the side and giving a young kid's imagination the impression this thing was fast and jumped like a champion. The big 750 motor had me convinced that our Frogs and Hotshots would be no match for this bad boy around the track, and the cute but aggressive hog emblazed on the side was always the coolest Tamiya sticker.
With the passing of the 80s, I've cooled a little on the sleeper cab, and probably prefer the Mounty - but I knew my collection wouldn't rest until one of these took it's rightful place up on the shelves.
In desperation, I actually put an add up in the wanted section - and was stoked when a friendly TC member (bcollection perhaps? it was a long time ago) offered me this one.

Thanks gents. It's going to be staying NIB at least until my sons have grown up enough to build it with me ... kind of a shame the eldest is only 2 =)
Simply awsome, I love the Bruiser.
