No thank you, I want a *real* Bruiser!

So when I first got back into Tamiya, the two models I really wanted to get NIB were a Hotshot, and a Bruiser. I'd posted a wanted ad for a Bruiser - when some chap came along and offered me this Mounty (at what I now know to be a rock bottom price). I couldn't remember seeing this saucy red upstart in my old Tamiya catalogs, and basically said I wanted to hold off for a *real* Bruiser. He lowered the price, and finally convinced me it was basically the same thing.

I can't remember the guy's name - but all I can say is 'thank you!'. I just adore these Mounties, and this is a pretty splendid specimen. I can't see any model ever replacing the beloved Hotshots from my youth at the top of my RC list - but if I peer out from under my rosey specs for a few minutes - I think this is the best model Tamiya ever made: amazing scale looks that haven't dated with loads of metal - what more could one ask for!
