And so it begins ...
Well, this is the kit that started it all over again for me. I hadn't thought of RCs in almost 13 years ... when for some reason, I end up looking at this model on eBay. I can't for the life of me remember how I stumbled across it - and initially I just thought warm fuzzy thoughts, was amazed that you could still find these things unbuilt, and logged off and went back to whatever it was I was doing. Well, that night while I slept, the insidious Tamiya obsession was awakening, and the next morning, some idle thoughts about how much this auction was going to end up at had turned into a steely resolve to own this piece of my childhood again.
Ironically, while it was only a few hundred kilometers from where I grew up, I was now on the other side of the world. As a bonus, it came with it's little brother - which I also had as a kid.
I've got lots of NIB Hotshots in nicer condition than this one, but this kit will always have a special significance for me.

you getting the re release for a runner

Without a doubt! It'll never replace the original's NIB blister pack good-ness - but for thrashing about the dirt, I can't wait for the re-release.

Now that is sweet, very sweet, if only they could make the re re look that good, blister packs and all.

I half think you just want to make sure you've got more Hotshots than I do Rosey!
