This is my Monster Beetle. It seems in poor conditions but it's a quiet example of easy restoring work. All chassis parts are new or 99% new. NIP tires are waiting stored with a NIB body with driver, decals, rear bumper, front lights and lights bar plus all body parts. The body you see here is complete and without a crack. It has been painted with several coat of colors, red, silver, blue, metallic blue. Now I'm restoring it, just need to strip off the paint. Not a difficult job but very very long.
Edit: Bought a new repro decal sheet. This body will be boxart and the NIB one will remain in its own box. Found a NIB Blitzer Beetle body with a MB nose cone for my next Baja project.

Side view. Stripping is going on. No front lamps bar mounted during stripping. These old tires are only for the shelf. Rear end. Licence plates has been disassembled. Will be a great shelf queen. Excellent TC repro decal sheet. Spare bodies. Again.

Looks pretty cool just like that, sort of a Monster beater beetle, I suspect all those paint layers protected it lol.

Probably you are right. The paint payer is very thick.
