Re-Re Mountaineer Body-kit for High-Lift
Woke up early this sunday morning doing the usual stuff and then started up the ol´computer. Made the 'sweep',you know,all the Tamiya related sites.When I logged in to Jason´s E-bay-store I almost fell of the chair !! There it was !!! The 49457 Re-RE Mounty body-kit ! I hit the Buy-it-now button so hard that I believe my mouse is up for a replacement ;)
I dont know,maybe it´s going to be allover E-bay and such, BUT,atleast I didn´t miss it if it doesn´t !!

That's crazy. The box looks like it says 2007 on it but I can't find it anywhere on the web. I hope Tamiya does release these again...at a reasonable price.

I know ! I read about them just the other night and was thinking if I would dare to e-mail Jason and sort of make a pre-order but decided that that would be a little bit too much, and understand how surprized I was this morning when I saw 1 left for sale !! If I had seen it when all 3 was for sale I would have swiped the lot ,believe me !!

I know the feeling !! When the 30 year Porsche was released I just like today logged in to Jason early in the morning and by that moment he had 5 of them for sale at 515 US$ /piece. I then did the mistake by thinking about it for 10 minutes,and of course they were gone. Two days later I saw maniacs pay 1500 US for them !!! You think I wept a tear or two ???

Oh,no ! I´m really sorry to hear this. I checked some of the other known places like Rainbow and E-bay around the world but with no luck.
Just to clearify my earlier post: I do NOT buy this to make profit,this one will be built.And if I had bought all 3,they too would have been built !! It was the silly high numbers of the 30 Year Porsche that made me a little sad !!

The EXACT same thing happened to me with the 30th Porsche 934. I woke up early one morning and saw the Porsche in Jason's store. I didn't think twice about it. I'm a little jelous that you got the Re-Re Mounty body but I have my 30th 934 Porsche. Aloha

My friend in Tokyo just got one for me, he said he had to show up and wait in the hall before opening time as he anticipated a quick sell out. He was able to get me the bodyparts set along with the mounts for the Hi-lift. The body was 7350 yen, and the bodymounts were 630 yen. I think I'm pretty lucky to get them at the 'normal' selling prices; he said he tried to get another but they were very strict and sold out within minutes. The event runs for a few more days, so you never know guys; there may be a few that pop up. I checked on Yahoo Japan auctions and they are selling quite high even in Japan.

If this is the case,that this were the only ones,I can NOT for the love of my life undestand why MrTamiya acts like this ???? Are they afraid of making a few bucks ?? Are the molds worn or are they trying to make a kind of exlusive touch to this release ??

I did the stupid mistake of waiting 10 minutes to determine if to buy 1 ,2 or 3. When I had checked my bank-account and decided to buy 3 it was to late !!
Of course I should settled for one to begin with and THEN maybe buy some moore !! Wont do that mistake again
