Hi all,
With the recent display of the final studio photographs on the TC forums of the Community Build Car, I thought I would share a few of the 'behind the scenes' pics of the build process on the interior that I made for the project. I started this back in March 07 and never kept track of how many hours I logged in, but its a TON! No giving up- as I wanted to do my best for this website and Mr. Tamiya himself in Japan! Of course, I would like to thank Chris (netsmithUK) for the opportunity to contribute my efforts on this. I can't thank you enough! Secondly, I would also like to thank Rad (rad22rad Alloys) for his patience and his excellent paint and body work that really brings this interior to life. I also have to thank him for waiting what seemed like forever for the interior to show up in the mail from me in Detroit..... Needless to say that was getting stressfull for Rad and myself after 2 weeks went by with no signs of the package showing up in the UK. I am now still trying to tweak my schedule to allow further refinement on this interior tooling so it can be put into production! Have patience and give me more time. I will keep you posted right here on this fantastic site we all love so much. This Community Car project proves this point out completely!!!!!!!! Cheers to all of the members who helped put this fantastic car together - everyone deserves a round of applause............. scollins

The humble beginning, which seems so far from done rough, but taking shape One driver casting tweaked to become co-driver many dry fit-ups along the development.... Crazy scollins mixin' his magic mold material Ahh, ..plastic fantastic-- in pristine styrene Painting has begun!!!! the fruits of all the efforts, many hours later Thanks for this great photo Chris!! Who is this hairy guy holding the interior???

WOW!, you can see how much bigger things are in the US. Even a kiddy's seat and a bar stool are large enough items to use as workbenches!!!

Nice work as usual. I think I might need to get a few when they become available. I'm working on a couple of projects and they all could use a Scollins interior kit. Keep up the good work.

Steve, Pic 5, what is on the Barbi??? Very nice addition, I can only think of some metal bits I contributed, so yours will be much more visible. I can't wait to see the look on Mr. T's face when he gets a load of this car.
