This bodyshell is actually from my avante, my avante has a new shell now so this one has to go.. but it ended up here instead.
Its sort of an accidental project come to think of it.
This actual avante body was in bad shape, suffered cracks, scratches and paint spray outside. After seeing the new Avante mk.2 , i got the idea of an original avante shell on the DF-03. Obviously it wouldn't fit at first. I have to cut the front nose and back section to fit. The matt black finish is Tamiya PS-5(sprayed outside) Looks like a military vehicle/ batmobile...

Looks awesome! Looks like the Stealth Fighter Plane. Maybe it should be the 'Dark Impact - Stealth Edition'

Yeah I like it too... The avante body looks really good on the DF-03 chassis. Why didnt Tamiya think of that!

It needs decals, but it looks awesome!

Thanks, its in 'stealth mode', so no decals required at the moment.

It looks great as it is....decals would be a shame.
Very nice!
Absolutely amazing. Great Job! Heaven forbid if Tamiya would release this body set on the DF03. What a perfect combination.

hey dr.roberts! it looks like a mean insect, especially on pic 1 and 2. i really like the style. it maybe needs a nice driver figure to round it up.
check my stealth hawk.
looking forward to see some action pics with loads of apocalyptic dust flying around!

Very nice. I like it!

Now that looks really cool - I like it!

How much better than the Avante Mk II shell does that look! Some white or sea grey markings and dotted 'access panel lines' would really make it look like a jetfighter.

Thanks for the kind comments and suggestions. I have tried to squeeze the avante driver inside but the middle prop shaft and steering rod really limits the space.
