FIRST OF ALL I would like to thank Igottamiya, Crash Cramer, Mad Ax and bigoggy for giving me some advice regarding 'the soapy water decal method', I followed every step and it came out very nice. Second I would like to thank Skottoman who helped me getting a new bodyshell all the way from the USA!! THANKS GUYS!
This is the model that started my Tamiya addiction. I learned to drive with it so the first body is quite bad (see last picture). I came across a new body at Tamiyausa.com so I decided to restore it.
I've painted it with Tamiya PS Light Green, used the 'Mini Cooper racing sticker set 1' , 'Mini Cooper racing sticker set 2' and the decal set from a Newman Porsche 956 to create a unique classic look. I also added a Rally Cockpit driver set from the TB01, some K-parts from a Monte Carlo Mini and a homemade exhaust for some extra realism.
The chassis is fitted with TRF shocks, a stabilizer set, Kawada 8 spoke rims and Tamiya Super Slicks. Hope you like it!
