56702: TamTech Gear The 'Formula' Hornet
Had brought this as a backyard basher; usually I like to build my own models; but this one is only available in RTR and the finished body is so well done, but the standard dampers? are absolutely hopeless; had installed the 3-racing oil dampers and it is now much better. Also it is interesting to note that M-chassis mini tyres will fit these TamTech Gear wheels, currently had some HPI X-pattern and it runs great; will try some slick tyres next. will also get a spare body set to do a custom scheme, comments are welcome, Cheers.

Cool, Nice looking Insect, if you really want to build them yourself you can buy the GB-01 chassis kit and a hornet body but it ends up costing a lot more than the RTR after you get the servo, ESC and radio.

Now that is COOL. I hope to build up the HotShot Tamtech when it finally gets here.

Really love the look of the Tamtech, think you have got it spot-on......where can I get some of those wheels, tyres and shocks??

Hi Mate, Great looking hornet you have there. Did you fit rear rims to the front as well? If so, howndoes that fit?

Very nice! I just fitted the same shocks to mine. the difference in performance is amazing. I am just waiting for all the other parts to arrive motor, 18t pinion, bumpers, 1400 batteries. etc. I like thw wheels that you fitted.

Very cool with the with the wide tires. Must stick to the pavement like glue. Nice job. Nice pics too.

Cheers for the comments. yes Wyoming, I did thought of doing exactly that; the chassis kit, body, radio.... but due to lack of time because of project Isabella; got this RTR and hopefully will do a custom body and upgrade parts.
Fraggle; got most of the parts from Stellamodels; very reasonable prices for the shocks and fox wheels.... tyres are from eBay.
Vinsjenzo; yes, 4 rear fox wheels; they fit straight on, since it's a smaller (10mm?) hex fitting all round. you can also get an adapter kit for 12mm hex touring wheels, but the one I saw also adds ~20mm to the track; may be for a monster Hornet!
